Booking terms & Conditions

  1. The property known as Villa Mimosa ("the property") is offered for holiday rental subject to confirmation by Mr and Mrs A. Mateu ("the owner") to the renter ("the client").
  2. Deposit. To reserve the property "the client" should complete and sign the booking form and return it together with the payment of the non-refundable deposit (25% of the total due). On receipt of the booking form and deposit "the owner" will confirm the rental period booked.
  3. The balance of the rent together with security deposit (see note 4) is payable not less than 8 weeks prior to occupation. If payment is not received by the due date "the owner" reserves the right to give notice in writing that the reservation is cancelled. Reservations made within 8 weeks of the start of rental period require full payment at the time of booking.
  4. A security deposit of £250 for the rental period is required in case of, for example, damage to the property or its contents. However, the sum reserved by this clause shall not limit "the client's" liability to "the owner". "The owner" will account to the "client" for the security deposit and refund the balance due within 2 weeks after the end of the rental period.
  5. Cancellation. All cancellations must be made in writing. When cancellations are received more than 8 weeks prior to the letting the deposit will be retained by "the owner" (see note 2). When cancellations are received less than 8 weeks prior to the letting, then the full cost of letting is payable. However, if the letting is re-sold "the owner" will refund the payments less the deposit and any expenses incurred. "The client"" is strongly recommended to take out a comprehensive travel insurance policy (including cancellation cover) and to have full cover for the party's personal belongings and public liability, etc… Since these are not covered by "the owners" insurance.

"The client" also agrees not to act in any way which would cause disturbance to those resident in neighbouring properties.
  10. "The client" shall report to "the owner" without delay any defect in "the property" or breakdown in the equipment, plant machinery or appliance in "the property", garden or swimming pool, and arrangements for repair and or replacement will be made as soon as possible.
